Pastel Seascape Atttributed to John LeMon
This large pastel measures 14" X 26" (18" X 29" in its original frame. It is done on paper which has been glued to board. It features a lone cypress on a rock outcropping under a moonlit sky whith several trees to one side and 2 sail boats off in the distance. This is done in LeMons typical cepiatone colors and is unsigned. LeMon is a listed California artist who resided in San Francisco and is known for his pastels of coastal scenes from around the Bay Area. The City of Paris handled his work in the 1920s.
