Lithograph by Sonja Holverson
This very nicely mounted and framed litho was done in 1970. It has a Calder~like influance and is in excellent condition. It was executed by artist Sonja Holverson and measures 20 1/4" X 27". Ms Holverson was kind enought to email me the following biographical information;
I was a student at UH Monoa and have a BA in art from there. This lithograph was selected for the Artists of Hawaii exhibition where as you see, it was sold. My lithography professor was jealous that he was not accepted and I was. Seeing this brings back wonderful memories and I loved doing those hard edge, precise, manually executed lithographs in the 70s. Yes, Calder was influencing but my favorites were Frank Stella and Victor Vasarely. I still paint in oils, mostly landscapes.
