Interesting Modern painting

This piece is full of symbolism and the artist was obviously inspired by many artists that came before them. It is titled "Homemade Heavens (Marriage of work and play)" and is signed and dated "CO'D '89".It appears to be done in colored felt tip pins and thickly applied acrylic paint on paper and is in a frame less frame. There is dark toning and water damage to the edges of the piece. It measures 14" X 17" (14" X 18" framed).
