Sommerso Vase-attributed to Salviati
This outstanding example of Italian glass from the 1950's & stands 13" tall. It is done in 3 layers of glass. The first is an early deep red. The second a lovely blue & the third outer casing a clear glass. The tear-drop shaped vase has a heavy paperweight style base with several large entraped air bubbles. The base is ground smooth and unsigned. This most likely was done by Salviati.
