Hand made Wood box

This was undoubtably a class project from the local wood working school in Fort Bragg, CA. I am horrible at identifying woods so my best guess is that this is made of mahagony, teak and perhaps walnut. The vertical trim which extends completely around the base of the box and its lid are hand applied marquetry. The interior is lined in green felt. It's ashamed the artist did not sign this work as it is of exemplry quality and construction. height 6" by 4 3/4" X 9 1/8".
