Danish Modern Chess Set by Herman Ohme

This vintage minimalistic wood chess set is made of maple wood with a blond or ebonized finish. Each piece has a green felt covered base. This architecturally inspired set was designed by Herman Ohme in the 1950's or 1960's. The 5 pieces shown in the last photo have hairline cracks radiating from the base upward up to 1 3/8". The cracks are not substantial and mentioned for accuracy. The original board was missing so I replaced it with a newer white and red lucite one with wood trim which measures 16 1/2" X 16 1/2". Please note that the top of the lucite has weathering. Please excuse the terrible photos.
