Dan DeLuz Covered Koa Calabash Bowl

This beautiful Koa wood covered Calabash bowl was made by Master Wood Turner Dan Deluz. Dan is from Hilo, Hawaii and is self taught. His paper-thin pieces are achieved by allowing the them to dry in between the rough and final turning-sometimes up to a year. This piece measures 3 1/2" tall (with lid), 4" wide and is in very good condition. The grain on this piece is very active and the walls incredibly thin.
