Buzzard Mountian Platter & Bowl Set

This platter and bowl were made by Susy Siegele and Michael Haley of Buzzard Mountian Pottery. It is constructed with the neriage technique which is time consuming and renders a lmited number of pieces from each "loaf". The platter measures 12 1/4" X 12 1/2" and the bowl 5 7/8" X 6 7/8" and 2 1/4" tall. Each piece is incised "Siegele & Haley 1991". The matched set is a stylized landscape of a lake with mountians in the distance and a cloudy sky. Buzzard Mountians work is held in the White House Collection of American Craft.
