San Francisco Bay Area Figurative Painting

This piece of vintage eye candy was painted on art board by artist Al Rand in either 1958 or 1959 (take your choice). It is titled "At the Coffee Bar" and "North Beach Girl" on the back and is also signed and dated on the front top-left corner. The unframed painting measures 21 3/4" wide and 40" tall. There is wear to the corners and edges that could probably be covered-up by an appropriate frame. The piece is done with a fairly loose, impressionistic hand. The coffee house venue with a large, ornate Espresso machine on the right side is appropriate as this is where many artists congregated and displayed their works for sale at the time.
