Tip Freeman Bird Of Paradise Painting
This piece was done by one of the more well known painters from Hawaii's Post War era. Clifford "Tip" Freeman (1910-1995) came to Hawaii in the 1930's and opened "Tip Freeman's Art Studio" in 1943. This work on paper board is a combination of air brush and hand brush work. It measures 10" X 12" unframed and is hand signed in the lower right corner. There is toning to the paper and soiling (?) in the form of small brown spots (see photos).
