Horse Woodblock Print by Mokuchu Yoshijiro Ushibara (1888-1953)

This woodblock print is done on paper and measures 10 3/8" X 14 1/2" with the image measuring 10" X 14". The print has the artist chop and pencil signed signature. There are some condition issues; The top left and bottom right corners have been glues to a cardboard backing. There is discoloration from the glue in these areas***The left side of the print has been hand colored on the edge and up to 7/16" into the image with a silver gray pastel*** the margins of the paper appear to have been trimmed at the right edge and bottom edge***there is a area of toning 3/4" down from the top edge of the print~probably from matting***there is foxing and 5-6 light to medium creases to the top right corner***the tip of the right corner margin has been cut off. This does not impact the image. these images from the horse series usually bring $250-450. This is being sold for $50 AS IS.
