Small Seascape by Listed California Artist Ruth Zorn Murane

This miniature seascape measures approximately 4 1/2" X 6 1/2" (6" X 8" in its original frame). Mrs. Murane was born in Minnesota on April 1, 1901. A long-time resident of Santa Cruz, she died there on Feb. 5, 1991. Her work includes coastal scenes. She is listed in Hughes "Artists in California".The piece is in good condition with the following noted: there is yellowing to the varnish so it could use a cleaning and there is a small 1/16" + spot where there is minor damage (see last photo).
