Abstract Figural Ceramic Lamp attr. Laguana Brayton

This outstanding ceramic lamp measures 26 1/2" tall with the ceramic base alone measuring 15 1/2" tall. The ceramic base has a matte white glaze with the base having a glossy black glaze. There are no marks or labels on the piece except for an "F" on the switch stem. The white globe is an early plastic that is somewhat of a cross between bakelite and celluloid. There is a 1 3/4" crack radiating down from the top edge which really doesn't show. The white shade has gold braid trim and spaghetti decoration. I married it to the lamp. It measures 10 1/2" tall and 15" wide. If you do not want the shade please let me know when you request a shipping quote. Lamp is in good working condition with its original wiring. This bares more than a passing resemblance to the some of the work being done by Laguna Brayton Pottery in the late 1950's-early 1960's (see "California Pottery" by Jack Chipman page 93).
