Pyrex Coffee Carafe & Stand

This great piece of California Design dates from the early 1950's. The Pyrex decanter retains its original stopper and woven hemp neck. It measures 12" tall with the stopper. The metal base has its woven hemp handles and measures 6" tall and 8 1/4" X 15 1/2" wide. There is a cup for sterno or a candle to keep the coffee warm and two spaces for the pyrex cups which are missing. Outside of some surface rust to the interior of the cup and moderate wear to the paint on the metal base the piece is in good condition. This set is featured in many of the Interior Design magazines of the period.
